The Syracuse Public Art Commission (SPAC) invites artists to submit qualifications for potential inclusion in a pre-qualified artist pool for public art opportunities in the City of Syracuse, New York. SPAC is seeking to develop a database of visual artists representing a wide variety of media and approaches. Invitations to compete for new permanent and temporary public art installations on City of Syracuse property will be drawn from artists in the Artist Pool.
The 2007 Public Art Ordinance’s purpose is to facilitate and encourage public art in the City of Syracuse by creating the Public Art Commission and a streamlined application and review process.
