  •   NEIGHBORHOOD RECREATION CENTERS
    Through the operation of neighborhood recreation centers and school-based sites, the City of Syracuse provides daily recreational opportunities for local youth from a number of city neighborhoods.  Drop-In recreation is free of charge and may include a variety of fun, engaging activities and games designed to keep both the body and mind active! All activities are led by experienced recreation staff, qualified volunteers, or program partners.  Drop-In  recreation is open to city youth ages 7-15. Programs for older teens are available where noted. Space may be limited, and some programs require advanced registration.

    SUMMER ONLY SITES
    In addition to those in operation during the school year, the following sites will feature several hours of supervised recreation on a daily basis, during the Parks Summer Program. Recreation staff will be on hand during the designated hours to organize activities and provide supervision. In addition, our Mobile Recreation Units will make weekly visits to each of the parks. Activities target children ages 7 - 13.   Program Runs July 5, 2016 - August 19, 2016

     Burnet Park - (Burnet Park Drive at Coleridge Ave)
    Hours: Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 4:00pm
    Offerings: Outdoor/Indoor Recreation, arts and crafts, mobile recreation, Summer lunch program (11am-1pm)

    Barry Park - (Broad Street at Westcott)
    Hours: Monday - Friday: 11am - 4pm;
    Offerings: Outdoor Recreation, basketball courts, mobile recreation,Summer Lunch program (11am to 1pm)

    McKinley-Brighton School Evening Recreation Program (W Newell St)
    Hours: Monday - Friday, 4pm - 9pm;
    Ages:  7-14 from 4pm-7:15pm; TEENS, ages 15-18 from 7:30pm - 9:00pm
    Offerings: gymnasium activities, basketball, crafts, board games, etc.
