Youth TENNIS Programs – 2012

For more than five years, the City of Syracuse Department of Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Central New York Tennis Association (CNYTA) to provide local residents with high quality, low cost tennis programming on city tennis courts. And, the City is proud to be a Tennis In The Parks community! Tennis in the Parks, a national partnership between the United States Tennis Association and the National Recreation and Parks Association, provides local municipalities with guidance and support vital to growing the sport of tennis across the country.
Tennis in the Parks Programs conducted by the Parks Department and CNYTA are the perfect way to introduce your child to this wonderful sport... one that can truly be enjoyed for a LIFETIME! Be sure to take advantage of some of the upcoming camps and clinics, listed below:

SPRING TENNIS CLINIC
Weekly clinics will cover a variety of tennis skills, whether it’s the forehand, backhand, serve, or footwork. Sessions may include drills, games, and fun competitions! Program takes place on the outdoor courts (weather permitting), led by USTA-certified instructors.

SUMMER TENNIS CAMPS 2012
The CNY Tennis Association (CNYTA) again partners with Syracuse Parks and Recreation to offer week-long tennis clinics on outdoor courts throughout the City.  Participants benefit from the instruction of USTA professionals while learning how to properly serve and execute forehands and backhands.  Please note that the camps are ½ day sessions, and do not include lunch or transportation.

TIMES: All camp sessions run from 9:00am – 12:00pm

Salt City Games for Youth
All City Youth Tennis Tournament - Compete against youth from all over the city for a chance at teh City Championship in several age groups. Younger children may play a form of "no serve" tennis, with older youth compete in traditional match play.
