YOUTH BASEBALL / SOFTBALL PROGRAMS 2011
District 8 Little League Baseball
Syracuse Parks and Recreation is proud to partner with District 8 Little League and serve as “home base” to several City Little League Baseball organizations. Each organization is lead by dedicated volunteers eager to teach the game of baseball to city youth. The City Parks Department maintains the fields and provides logistical support, while the individual Little League organizations manage the registration process and conduct all League programming, under the auspices of District 8 Little League. SYRACUSE R.B.I. -- SUMMER BASEBALL PROGRAM 2012
(Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities)
 Syracuse Parks and Recreation joins the Boys and Girls Clubs of Syracuse to bring exciting summertime baseball programs to city youth! Syracuse R.B.I. consists of clinics, instructional leagues, and competitive leagues led by experienced coaches, and is made possible through the Cal Ripkin Jr. Foundation, Major League Baseball, and generous local support. Don't miss out this summer!
RBI Clinics and Leauges
RBI Division (Ages 13-15)
Competitive baseball league that brings teens from across the city together practices and games. All registered players are drafted to teams with experienced coaches.

SITES: Sunnycrest Park, Kirk Park and Fowler High School
SEASON: July 14 - August 25, 2012
FEE: $10 per player

JUNIOR RBI Division (Boys and Girls Ages 6 - 12)
Instructional league that brings city boys and girls together for drills, clinics, practices and games. All registered participants are placed on teams with a coach. Open to beginner and advanced players!
GAME & PRACTICE NIGHTS: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays (6pm to 8pm)
SITES: Lewis Park and Skiddy Park
SEASON: June 23rd - August 1st, 2012
FEE: FREE!

Aquafina Major League Baseball PITCH, HIT, and RUN Competition
This free skills competition provides boys and girls, ages 7-14, the opportunity to showcase pitching, hitting, and running abilities. Winners can advance through four levels of competition, concluding with the National Finals at the MLB All Star Game. Registration with parent signature, and proof of age required. Youth may complete in only one local competiton. Choose from:
APRIL 13th, 11:00am at Schiller Park ballfields
MAY 4th, 4:30pm at Kirk Park
26th, 4:00pm at Barry Park
