Pass a pre-requisite swim test
1. Required strokes; front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke and butterfly.
2. Head first entry from the deck.

Sign up for the Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Class

Sundays - October 20th to December 15th - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Participants must have access to a computer.
2. Registration Fee: Make check payable to COMMISIONER OF FINANCE
i. City Residents - $25.00
ii. Non-City Residents - $75.00

4.Certification Fee: ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS you must bring a separate check for $60.00.

5. Training includes
a minimum of 8 hours outside, practical teaching at department sites.
Weekend mornings and weekday evening opportunities available for practical teaching.
Textbook fee is not included. Textbooks must be purchased through the American Red Cross.
Directions to obtain the textbooks will be available on the first day of class.
