The 73rd annual Collins Block Service was held on Friday, February 3rd, 2012 at Firefighters Memorial Park. While this is the anniversary of the Collins Block tragedy, the service is in remembrance of all Syracuse Fire Department members who have made the ultimate sacrifice protecting the citizens of Syracuse. City residents can now drop off leaves, mulch and Christmas trees all winter, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at DPW at 1200 Canal St. (off Midler Ave. between Erie Blvd. and Rt. 690).
