     Come and explore your artistic side at our Burnet Arts & Crafts facility located in Burnet Park (in front of the old ice skating rink). Space is limited for all classes. Pre-registration is required for all classes. For more information about any of the programs please call (315) 473-4789.

    Beading  

    Adult Beginner Beading 
    Introduction to various types of beading, the use of tools, color selection and the basics of design. All tools and supplies provided.
    Instructor:  Mary Anne Baldwin

    Sections:  Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 am and Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

    Learn to make a variety of jewelry styles. Increase beading technique skills. Participants must have completed Beginner Beading I. All tools and supplies provided.

    Quilting

    Adult Quilting 
    Want to make a quilt that can be passed down from generation to generation? Then this is the class you want to join. You will learn quilting techniques that will allow you to make full size quilts. You must have taken a beginner quilting class. Bring your sewing machines.

    Ceramics  

    Adult Ceramics 
    Why buy gifts when you can make your own? This class offers a selection of unpainted bisque pieces from animals, dish ware, angels, holiday decorations and more. Learn how to paint and prepare pieces for firing.

    Pottery Wheel
    Raku pottery is created with specific firing processes. In this class students will design and mold their projects by throwing clay onto a pottery wheel while using their hands and tools to work their clay into beautiful pots.

    Class dates: September 24th to December 14th
    Monday:  9:30 to 11:30 AM Prep for classes, 1:00PM - 3:30PM: Throwing class  Tuesday 9:00AM-11:30AM Throwing class, 1:00PM-3:00PM,  Wednesday 9:00 AM -11:30AM: Prep for Kiln
    1:00PM - 3:00PM Throwing class, Thursday: 9:00AM - 11:30AM, Set up and Prep, 12:30 -3:00 PM Hand building, Friday: 1:00PM - 3:30PM, Hand building

     


    Fee:  $50.00 per 12 week sessions
    Maximum # of Participants:  6

    All classes includes Clay, glaze, and firing.

    Need: small bucket, small hand towel, Clothespins with name on it, and a beginners tool kit. (We have some tools).

    In this class students will have the experience to learn how to handle clay by using methods like pinching, hand pulling and coiling. Projects will be fired using the Raku method.

      Please Note: If the classes are cancelled because of holidays or weather we will not make them up. If we cancel a class because we are on vacation or we need to take time off for illness we will make up those classes.  Prices are subject to change in the future.
