    BURNET ARTS & CRAFTS FACILITY

     Come and explore your artistic side at our Burnet Arts & Crafts facility located in Burnet Park (in front of the old ice skating rink). Space is limited for all classes.     Beading  

    Adult Beginner Beading 
    Introduction to various types of beading, the use of tools, color selection and the basics of design. All tools and supplies provided.
    Instructor: Mariah Daniels

    Sections: Monday's from 9:00 to 11:00 AM

    Fee:  $25.00 per 12 week sessions
    Maximum # of Participants:  8
     Registration begins September 16th to September 27th.  Classes begin September 22nd to December 20th.

    Arts & Craft Beading  

    Adult Beading II
    Learn to make a variety of jewelry styles. Increase beading technique skills. Participants must have completed Beginner Beading I. All tools and supplies provided.
    Instructor:  Mariah Daniels

    Section:  Tuesday's from 1:00 pm to 3:00 PM
    Fee:  $25.00 per 12 week sessions
    Maximum # of Participants:  8

    Arts & Craft Advanced Beading  

    Adult Beading III
    Increase your beading with more complex design skills. Prerequisite: Beading II. All tools and supplies provided.

    Section: Wednesday's from 9:00 to 11:00 AM
    Fee:  $25.00 per 12 week sessions

    Quilting

                 Adult Quilting 

           Instructor: Angie Nelson

    Beginner Class: Friday, 9:30AM  to 12:30 PM: 6 participants

    Friday PM: Open classes(depending on sign-ups) Quilting layouts

     This class will be for those who are just starting to learn the basic techniques, and will begin something small. The beginner has no experience, skills or training and need assistance.  

    Advance Class: Thursday, 9:30AM to 12:30 PM, 10 participants

     
     Thursday PM : Spraying, cleaning, molds, Quilting designs

    This class is for those who are highly developed and showed progress without assistance through learning the skills and developed techniques in the program.

    Registration: September 16th to September 27th.

    classes begin: September 22nd to December 20th.

    Fee:  $20.00 per 12 week sessions

     Beginners: This class will be for those who are just starting to learn the basic techniques, and will begin in something small, the beginners have no experience, skills, or training and need assistance.  6 Participants

     Intermediate Class: Monday's, 12:30PM to 2:30PM, 10  participants

    This class is for those who have developed their skills, technique, and training, who has established a confidence in working with little assistance.

     Advanced Class: Tuesday's, 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM,  8 participants

     This class is for those who are highly developed and showed progress without assistance through learning the skills and developed all techniques in the program.

     Registration: September 16th to September 27th. 

    Classes begin September 22nd to December 20th.

             Wheel Throwing

            Instructor: Eva Zook

     Wheel Throwing 1, Monday's, 9:00AM to 11:30AM

    Beginners level, learn to make basic pots on the potters wheel. This class is designed to teach basic skills only.

    Wheel Throwing 2, Monday's, 1:00PM to 3:30PM

    Throwing 2 builds upon a beginners skills. Students learn to throw larger and more involved shapes. Prerequisite is proficiency at Throwing 1, or permission of the instructor.

    Throwing/Hand building, Tuesday's, 1:00PM to 3:30 PM

    This class requires a semi-proficient level of skill in Throwing and hand building. Students work more independently with instructor guidance. Prerequisite is throwing 2, and Hand building 2, or permission of instructor.

    Fee: 50.00 per 12 week sessions

    All classes include Clay, glaze, and firing.

    Need: small bucket, small hand towel, clothespins with name on it, and a beginners tool. kit. (We have some tools).

    Registration : September 16th to September 27th.

    Hand Building

          Throwing/Hand Building

          Instructor: Eva Zook


    Hand building 1, Thursday's, 9:00AM  to 11:30AM

     Beginners level is an introduction to the basic hand building techniques used to make pottery and sculpture.

    Hand building 2, Thursday's, 1:00PM to 3:30 PM

    Hand building 2 refines beginners techniques and to develop a creative process. prerequisite is proficiency in hand building 1 or instructor permission.

    Hand building 3, Friday's,  1:00PM to 3:30 PM.

     Hand building 3 requires a semi proficient level of skill. Students work more independently with instructor guidance. Prerequisite is hand building 2 or instructor permission.

      Please Note: If the classes are cancelled because of holidays or weather we will not make them up. If we cancel a class because we are on vacation or we need to take time off for illness we will make up those classes.  Prices are subject to change in the future.
