    		In celebration of Women's History Month, the Syracuse Commission for Women solicited nominations for a Woman of the Year Award to be presented to a woman who has made significant and lasting contributions to her community, has acted as a role model of achievement for other women, and has enhanced the lives of the citizens of the city of Syracuse. The members of the Commission selected Grace Flusche from the nominees and Mayor Stephanie Miner presented the award on March 31, 2011.
