    Céad mile fáilte! (A hundred thousand welcomes!) The 28th Annual Syracuse St. Patrick's Parade, Saturday, March 13, 2010 starting at 12 noon in Downtown Syracuse. Barrels will be located along the parade route to collect donations for the St. Patrick Hunger Project Food Drive. Click here for details.

    The Department of Public Works reports that for this past snow storm, there were 28 plows running 24 hours a day for 3 days to clear the streets. Each plow shift is 12 hours.

    The cost for this snow event was:

    Code Enforcement: Amanda's Law mandates Carbon Monoxide Alarms in all residences.

    On February 16 in the Common Council Chambers, Sue Buske presented the Community Needs Assessment Report prepared by The Buske Group in conjunction with the City’s Cable Franchise Agreement.  This report discussed the results of the focus groups that met in November 2009 and provided an analysis of the need for public access to cable in the City.     St. Patrick's Weekend Kick-off

    The 28th Annual St. Patrick's weekend will start Friday, March 12th with the painting of the green stripe on South Salina Street near Water Street at 9:30 a.m. The annual Irish Heritage ceremony featuring music and dance, follows at 10:00 a.m. in the Sustainability Showcase at City Hall Commons Atrium, 201 East Washington Street.
