WATER MAIN BREAK ON BURNET AVENUE
City to Perform Repair after 7 PM; Work to be Completed by Morning
Eastwood Residents Should Expect Low Water Pressure
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse Water Department is issuing an alert to Eastwood residents tonight to expect low water pressure as a result of a water main break along Burnet Avenue.
“We learned of this line break around 3:00 PM this afternoon,” said Syracuse Water Commissioner Debbie Somers, “we are going to have crews on the scene fixing the water mains beginning around 7 PM.”
The delayed start to the work, noted Somers, was done to not interfere with commuters during the evening rush hour or individuals preparing food. The repairs are expected to last into the evening. Area residents can expect normal water service by morning.
